8 Years

Chris and I celebrated 8 years of marriage on August 10th, which fell on a Tuesday. My parents came up from Texas this past Sunday and stayed the night with Mikah and Gavyn, so we could get a hotel room and spent some quality time together, just the two of us! We splurged and stayed at the Skirvin Hotel, ate dinner at Red Prime Steakhouse, went to the movies and just enjoyed some much needed time together. On Monday, while Oma and Opa took the kids to the Science Muesum, we drove around OKC daydreaming about our next house (we are about to outgrow our current one, but staying put for the time being). Ended up eating lunch at Victorias Pasta Shop in Norman, and then dessert was at Il Dolche in Moore. So all in all, we spent good quality time together and ate very well in the process! :)

We normally don't give gifts to each other, but Chris surprised me with a pair of fabulous shoes - the new TOMS Wedges! I have been eyeing them since they came out and was so surprised and happy when I received them at work. We were checking out Blue 7, one of our favorite local stores, and found some TOMS for Chris as well, so we bought each other TOMS for our anniversary!
